I was really looking forward to this book but didn't enjoy it。 It kind if reminds me of the After series but not as well done - Macs boyfriend， Preston， gets Cooper fired when Cooper tries to kick him out for groping a colleague。 Cooper decides the best way to get revenge is to steal his girlfriend。 This book is dual POV from Mackenzie and Coopers points of view。I struggled for the first 150ish pages and felt like the book was going to put me in a reading slump and debated adding it to my DNF li I was really looking forward to this book but didn't enjoy it。 It kind if reminds me of the After series but not as well done - Macs boyfriend， Preston， gets Cooper fired when Cooper tries to kick him out for groping a colleague。 Cooper decides the best way to get revenge is to steal his girlfriend。 This book is dual POV from Mackenzie and Coopers points of view。I struggled for the first 150ish pages and felt like the book was going to put me in a reading slump and debated adding it to my DNF list。 I enjoyed the middle of the book a bit more but by the last 50 pages I was skimming the pages just to get ot finished。 。。。more

Sad to say it but this just did not do it for me。 It’s literally the plots of After and Outer Banks fused together。 I’m a huge Elle Kennedy fan but this was definitely not her best work。 Some good banter here and there but overall lacking

An engaging rich girl meets poor local boy， who is too cute to resist。 This was a fun read because both characters， Mackenzie and Cooper， are so well done and engaging。 Of all the romance novels I’ve read recently， Elle Kennedy writes compelling characters that make me fall in love with them。 I like the background stories and the conflict between Mackenzie and her parents。

I just finished The Good Girl Complex and overall it was a quick and enjoyable read about opposites attracting。 I liked the alternate POV between Mackenzie and Cooper， although some of the plot points didn’t sit quite so well with me。 I will say that I was happy that Mackenzie stood up for herself and did what was best for her。I look forward to reading more from Elle Kennedy in the future！Thank you to NetGalley and St。 Martin’s press for the eARC in exchange for my honest review。
